Product key activation on Steam

Via Steam Client:

1. Launch Steam: Open the Steam client on your computer. If you don’t have Steam installed, you can download it from the official Steam website (store.steampowered.com) and install it.
2. Sign In to Your Account: Log in to your Steam account. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one.
3. Access the “Games” Menu: Click on the “Games” menu at the top left corner of the Steam client, then select “Activate a Product on Steam…”
4. Enter the Product Key: A new window will open. Enter the product key into the provided field. The product key is usually a combination of letters and numbers.
5. Redeem the Key: After entering the product key, click on “Next” and then “Finish” to proceed. Steam will then verify the key and activate the associated product.
6. Download and Install: If the product key is for a game, it will be added to your Steam library. You can then download and install the game through the Steam client.

Via Steam Website:

1. Visit Steam Website: Go to the official Steam website (store.steampowered.com) using your web browser.
2. Sign In to Your Account: Log in to your Steam account or create a new account if you don’t have one.
3. Access the “Games” Menu: Click on your username at the top right corner of the Steam website, then select “Activate a Product on Steam…”
4. Enter the Product Key: Enter the product key into the provided field on the activation page.
5. Redeem the Key: After entering the product key, click on “Next” and then “Finish” to proceed. Steam will then verify the key and activate the associated product.
6. Download and Install: If the product key is for a game, it will be added to your Steam library. You can then download and install the game through the Steam client.
